ISLAMABAD, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tuesday received U.S. special envoy for Afghanistan' peace and reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad in capital Islamabad and reiterated his country's efforts for achieving peace in Afghanistan.
Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mohammad Faisal wrote on Twitter that Qureshi said Pakistan will continue to play its role for political solution of Afghan conflict.
Earlier, the two sides held delegation-level talks on Afghan reconciliation process at the foreign ministry in Islamabad. Security, defense and diplomatic officials from both sides attended the delegation-level talks.
They discussed the Afghan situation and its reconciliation process, according to the spokesman.
